A Mom Blog Social Network
Those of you who have read me since my old blog know that I have a love/hate relationship with my hair. It's curly, frizzy, tangles easily and is generally a mess no matter what I do with it. The only time it is at all manageable is when I either flat-iron it out, or pile on a ton of products. I usually do the lazy thing and roll it into a bun, because honestly, with an almost 4-month-old baby who has time to flat iron? I don't.

Since we are coming up on Amalia's 4 month "birthday", I have been paranoid over her extreme hatred of tummy time. Even with the reassurance of her Pediatrician that as long as she wasn't developing flat spots, had great neck control, and straightened her legs back if I picked her up to play "superman" then everything was fine and not to worry - some babies just hate tummy time.
Still, I was paranoid...

Since becoming a Mom, I have discovered so many products and services I had no idea existed! As most of my readers know, I have developed a love affair with subscription boxes. I hate shopping. There, I said it. I. do. not. like. shopping. Even before I had a baby who would freak out every time I stopped the stroller to look at a onesie or a toaster at Target, I hated shopping. Too many choices, not enough styles I like, waiting in line for a fitting room, the one display coffee maker…

Can I just start out by saying that transitioning from working full time to becoming a stay at home mom at 33 has been a HUGE adjustment for me? I have been working full time since I was 17 (and part time before that!) so this is just weird for me. I've had some wonderful experiences in the work force, even the crappy minimum wage positions I have taken to get by in between.…

As a new mom - and a new SAHM I have been looking for every way I can cut costs in our household. Living on one income is not an easy task! One of the ways I have been cutting out the spending is food - I try to make as much as I can from scratch. It's cheaper and I genuinely enjoy the process.
One thing that I have been afraid to try was homemade bread. Bread is getting ridiculously expensive, unless I buy the 99 cent loaf which in all honesty tastes like moist…

Amalia is only 11 weeks old, but she has been such an easy little girl! I prepared myself for sleepless nights and bleary days, but I have an amazingly good little sleeper.

most of you know, I am super into cloth diapering. It is not only better for the environment, it is better on your pocketbook in the long run. Right now we are using a combination of prefolds with covers, pockets and disposables - mostly disposables when we are out and about so we don't have to deal with toting around wet, smelly cloth diapers. I have been searching high and low…

Let me first go on the record that I usually find breaded, baked chicken breasts incredibly boring and bland. I know, I know - it is a staple in most kitchens, I just find it boring and usually bland and dry. I can eat it, but I prefer not to. The Ogre on the other hand, hates it. He'd rather have it fried if he has to, but pretty much just would rather skip it all together.
However, when it comes to anything in the Kitchen,…

I am super excited - yesterday we got our first Citrus Lane box! April's theme was Bed & Bathtime Fun, and I am pretty happy with the contents of the package!

Since having my daughter, it's the littlest things that make my dad

When I discovered I was pregnant, one of the first things I knew right off the bat was that I wanted to cloth diaper. One of my brother's was cloth diapered, and I learned pretty quickly how to pin a diaper on a wiggly baby. My only experience with cloth was 20 years ago, and that was only my brother's prefolds, pins and rubber pants. Not as annoying as I was reading during my research, but enough of a pain that I was ridiculously happy that there were other (and cuter!) options…
