A Mom Blog Social Network
This is a hard post. Very hard.
Every year I face the same feeling towards celebrating Mother's Day, I am untouched. Celebrating Mother's day is not a synonym of celebrating me (in my head) even though I'm totally qualified for it now. Mother's Day resonates to me as to celebrate my own mother. And that is every year as you know.
This post is hard not only because of the type of post, you know, writing about…

Mentally, I get home fried from work. Love it, I am so busy. But, when I get home my energy is high enough to only see and play with the kid after being picked up from daycare and once we get to eat something at dinner time, my body just goes into zombie mode.
I have so much to do for me! - I keep hearing in the back of my head. I'm at a point in my life that I am finding different interests and the curiosity to explore them is in front of me.
But the reality is,…

I am usually not a quote person, man I barely remember to repeat the words literally when someone says it to me. I can not be trusted quoting, trust me. But, I can be trusted using the mouse of my computer.
This quote came from Best Foodies in response to my …

I have been working on my 2012 blog edition in the last couple of days - I know, it totally feels like a car when it's about to be released for its new look of the year. I invested a couple of hours here and there with this new look mostly because the baby still requires a lot of my attention and could not commit to give more. And finally, last night, it was decently completed. It did not feel like a lot of work was done or at least, what I was aiming to do I could tweak the HTML…

Dear Santa:
I write this letter to you using my son's pencil...on the back of this bill statement while I do laundry.
I have been a good mother during this past year. I have fed, kept clean, and taken care of my kids accordingly. I have seen my kid's doctor more than I have seen mine. I have sold cookies and any other bullshit thing to rise…

We all have gone through withdraws in our life, by choice or by force. Drugs, alcohols, coffee, smoking, you name it, we have heard is not fun. Well, mine is not as common per se. I am suffering of pregnancy addiction. Hi, my name is Afrodita and I'm addicted to pregnancy - at least my first one.
I don't know what it was but me being pregnant with baby M was the best time of my life as an adult. Aside from the nausea and the excessive amount of tiredness in the first few weeks,…

Let me start by saying that I believe in good and bad in this world, so when I place Twitter under the category of "bad" I understand that others might to it under the category of "good" as well.
Since I am brand new - ahem - by being born in 1979, I did not live the euphoria when the telegraph first came out nor the first telephone, only my grandmother could tell me about the first television. Something along this line I heard a lot from her "those were evil inventions". Of…

There has been so much information this year about people and their bully experiences including the most recent one about cyber-bully in our every day interaction with our internet world. But when it comes to the origin or the source, the reason behind this behavior there is so much out there that is becoming a little bit complex.

It feels like forever I wrote here last. Since the arrival of my BFF Karina to Vancouver I have not been able to sneak into my office to even look at my computer. There has been a lot of catching up in and outside of the house, and between juggling housework and mommyhood literally leaves no time to a tiny peak into my techy hobbies.
Every time she comes to visit me she reminds me of my past years when we used to go out and dance until the club closes, when we used to talk about…

A few days ago I run into a great post from Chosen chaos about people and their stupid questions. That made me think of the most useless and annoying prompts some people had asked me in the last nine months since baby M was born.
After I submitted my comment I couldn't stop thinking about it. In a city like Vancouver where diversity is so obvious, homosexuality is publicly accepted, people from almost every part of the world is…

How I miss those days with my girlfriends just enjoying a cup of java on a coffee shop patio at 4pm. How I miss those evil-eye discussions, people passing by and as such making us feel we were in a runway "Yeah, that is a nice outfit", "no that doesn't look good sister", "uh, is that her father? ewwww!".
Nine months have elapsed until I realized I had the exact same feeling, but in a playground. Oh playgrounds. A place where diversity is found, a place…
