I know all of us as moms go through the ups and downs of finding time for personal hygiene (if you don't..don't tell me. I hate to feel alone). Often, there just aren't enough minutes in the day to fit in a simple shower. So when I get a chance, I take extra long showers to make up for it (who doesn't?)

 Today, Superman took our lil Kindergartener for her first school shopping trip (they were adorable!)..I was stoked because it had been a few days (yes days) since I had found any time to take a shower :( The plan: stay in until I was pruney!

 So I sent our 2 older daughters (10&9) out to ride their bikes (because it is not very often they get to do so without a 5 year old tagalong) with the promise that I would call them in when I was finished so they could shower themselves ( because they can be some nappy things for being girls) and then they could get some computer time and settle into some dueling Animal Jam.

 Turned on the shower to steam room temperature, stepped in and immediately started to relax ;) AHHHHH!! I swear, I was in the shower for 3 minutes when I heard our front door slam. Nobody was supposed to be in the house, so I quickly hopped out, wrapped a towel around my wet parts and vaulted out my bedroom door into the hall..where I found "The Sisters" with their shower gear.

"What are you doing?" I ask as I dripped all over our carpet

"We're getting ready to take a shower" answers the 9 year old nonplussed.

"But I JUST sent you outside to ride your bikes while I showered!" I answered dripping and heading toward angry

"Oh" says the 9 yr old passively "we thought you were done"

Their shock and dismay over only getting 3 minutes themselves to shower and ZERO computer time was quite satisfying ;D                                                http://bleueyedgirl.blogspot.com/
