Everyone knows what a bucket list is, but in case you don’t, it’s a list of things that you would like to accomplish before you die (or “kick the bucket”). Every person has a bucket list, whether they know it or not. Just seeing a commercial for a new roller coaster and thinking “I’d like to try that!” would automatically be a part of your mental bucket list. Some lists are larger than others; I, for example, have nearly 200 items on my bucket list. You could just have one or two and that is perfectly acceptable!
There are 5 things that I would suggest adding to your bucket list! These things can be debated on whether or not you could actually accomplish them. Personally, I don’t listen to those who tell me it’s impossible. As Walt Disney once said, “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.”
#1 – Become a Jedi.
If you are not a star wars fan, this may not be exactly an enticing idea for you. But let me tell you how necessary it is for you, as a person, to become a Jedi. First of all, they carry around a weapon at all times. While government may be trying to outlaw guns, they haven’t begun outlawing light sabers yet! Secondly, they can use “the force”. For the anti-star wars, that is equal to telekinesis. Their speed, and higher brain function is something that no one would want to miss out on! Finally, they can jump to extraordinary heights and from extraordinary heights without getting hurt. How could anyone not want this?
#2 – Get a Unicorn
There are many “mythical” creatures that you could acquire if you desired, but I think the best choice would be a Unicorn. Unlike some, like the gryphon, there is no chance that it could turn on your or kill you in a fit of rage – I speak from experience. And unlike others, trolls or Satyrs, they will not run away from you the first chance they get – they are more of a pet than a person. They are majestic, beautiful, and who can resist the horn? Besides that, they are relatives to the Pegasus, so should you desire to be flown rather than having to ride, your Unicorn could hook you up with one.
#3 – Visit Alagaesia
If you do not know where Alagaesia is, well shame on you! This is the world in which Eragon resides, and the other dragon riders! I think that there should be a point in everyone life where you set out to visit this land, whether you want to or not. You could interchange it with your other favorite stories, Middle-Earth for example, but I suggest a less popular choice … going off the beaten path so to speak.
#4 – Learn how to fly
This is a power that would come in handy in many situations. Suppose your car broke down and you couldn’t get anywhere? Imagine being able to get away from everyone in the world, going up as high as you like, feeling the wind on your face through the clouds. Prefer telekinesis or perhaps being invisible? If you had become a Jedi by now you would have the equivalent to both of these. Prefer to teleport? While you can get places faster, you would miss all the sites, and the experience of being able to soar high above the ground. Not to mention being able to prove everyone wrong and go parachuting without a shoot.
# 5 – Become Master of the Universe
This number speaks for itself. If the world had a master of the universe, let me tell you, you’d be the guy I would vote for. Since we do not have one of those, it’s best you just declare yourself to be master. The benefits far outweigh any downsides or cons. If you have trouble ruling an entire universe, you can just employ others who report to you, to rule the parts of the world you don’t care about.
If you accomplish these five things in your life, not only can you accomplish everything else you desire, but you will have had the fullest life anyone could dream of having. You’ll be the envy of everyone around you! So add these things to your bucket list, accomplish them, and see what can happen!
