Teacher Appreciation Week is May 7-11, 2012. For those of you who, like me, send your children to school outside of the home, this is a week dedicated to showing appreciation to the men and women who educate the monkeys. And believe me . . . I appreciate them. At our school we do a theme each day of the week.
Monday - Teachers make learning sweet! Bring your teacher a small "sweet" treat.
Tuesday - Teachers are the "write" stuff! Write your teacher a note of thanks on a homemade card.
Wednesday - Teachers supply us with the tools for the future! Bring your teacher a cool writing tool (neat pen, new markers, etc.), paper for the classroom, new scissors, post it notes, personalized note pad . . .
Thursday - Teachers plant the seeds for tomorrow! Bring your teacher a fake flower, real flower, packet of seeds or a drawing of a flower.
Friday - Teachers are a gift! Bring your teacher a gift card to a local office supply store, discount store, coffee shop, restaurant or make your own gift card for your teacher to exchange for your services in the classroom helping out with reading or grading or recess duty.
I've gathered a few inexpensive gift ideas for you below . . .
Do you have a great idea you could share?
