Thanks to the 4 bloggers who linked up with us last week!  A few weeks ago Christine and I talked about maybe NOT doing this Friday feature but to tell you the truth, I like writing about my BEST day!  It cheers me up a little bit and I LOVE reading GOOD news!  I think that, even if we didn't keep it as a "carnival", it's worth writing just to look back on the week and say, "Yeah - that is something I want to remember!"

My Best Day Ever (this week) was a toss up between Tuesday and Wednesday.  I don't think it's cheating to put them together, though, because both days had a lot to do with me spending time with my little girl!  Tuesday was her Kindergarten Registration and I picked her up after work and we went straight to the building that my son currently attends Kindergarten in.  I got a little nostalgic thinking about doing the same thing last year with Nate...

Then, on Wednesday, I attended the LAST preschool party Danika will ever have - her Easter Party!  It was a blast and (as promised) I made the Peep S'mores and they were a HUGE hit!   Here's some pics of the special Mommy/Danika morning we had together at her preschool:

 She was so stinkin' cute and we really did have a good time together.  


After the party, we picked up the boys and put them down for a nap.  Then we snuggled on the couch a little and watched a movie.  It was just what this Mama needed!  


I know that next year I will miss my afternoons with Danika - as long as they keep full day Kindergarten next year.  She plays so well by herself if I'm "busy" on the computer or with school work...but I just love listening to her play.  I also love to hear her singing to herself while she colors or catching her imitate me out of the corner of my eye.  (I can't help but give her a little smile when I see that!)  It really was the BEST DAY (this week)!

I don't know about anyone else, but for me this week flew by!  I think because Easter Break is here and I've been so busy and my husband has been working so hard it just seems that the BEST of my week is actually, yet to come! Today, all the girls will be home and Jim will be HOME--Good Friday indeed! I am excited to celebrate the holiday with them this weekend. We are decorating Easter Eggs today and i will be shopping for the dishes that I'm bringing to our Easter visits. I'm looking forward to seeing the family all dressed in their Easter Sunday Best and heading to church--the most beautiful masses of the year, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday, take place this weekend. I love seeing the awe in my children's faces and feeling the spirit stir within me!

All of that is yet to come, though. 

The Tooth Fairy visited this week! That was pretty darn exciting for Potato, who at first had designs to pull her tooth on Saturday night. But we convinced her that the universe might explode if the Easter Bunny and The Tooth Fairy arrived on the same night.  She had the crazy idea that they might meet at our house and fall in love...huh? A bunny and a fairy?  I guess crazier things have happened. In any case, she decided to yank that baby out--right during dinner, of course. You know, so she would have a legitimate excuse to not eat chicken kabobs with us.  She is my pickiest eater.

Anyway here's her toothless grin. What a pumpkin head!

Speaking of Potato, she just snuck down to sit by my side and my quiet morning is over...sigh.  Oh well, let the fun begin!
