Great news! Thanks to the impressive efforts of The Campaign For Safe Cosmetics, Johnson & Johnson has announced that they have will phase out the use of toxic chemicals. This is huge, Johnson & Johnson is one of the largest cosmetic companies in the world. In addition to the famed Johnson's Baby Shampoo, their products include Neutrogena, ROC, Clean & Clear, Aveeno, Purpose and more. After facing tremendous pressure last November they agreed to phase out carcinogens formaldehyde and 1,4 dioxane from their baby products by 2013 and earlier this week they committed to stop using those and other harmful chemicals linked to diabetes, hormone disruption, breast cancer and birth defects in their adult products as well and replace them with safe alternatives by 2015!
