I wasn't sure what to expect when I first signed up for the Bloggy Mom Blog Hop. But I can say that I got more than I ever bargained for!

The list of sites was long; I made a plan to visit at least 10-15 sites a day and leave a comment on each. That plan worked out well. Obviously not all of the sites were about things that I normally would be interested in; however, they were all fascinating. 

Of all the sites that I visited during that particular blog hop, I have bookmarked several sites that I continue to visit. And I have referred several other people to sites that I remembered I visited. That was the best part of the blog hop. Discovering so many wonderful sites! Adding to my favorites collection and passing on the names of sites to others who might be interested!

It also worked well in my favor. I had several people who clicked over to me not knowing in advance what my site was about. Most left kind comments of a general nature, but a handful were able to ask questions about things that they probably would never have attempted IRL (in real life). I was able to answer their questions as honestly as I could, advising them to seek out more knowledgable authorities on particular issues. It felt great to be able to help and give advice to people! 

After such a successful first go around on the Bloggy Hop, I have just signed up for the September Blog Hop! I am really looking forward to this one for two reasons; 1) September is my birthday month! and 2) I have just finished a re-style (makeover) of my site! I am anxious to know how it looks to others. It's less cluttered, more streamlined and a bit more subdued.

So if you have never signed up for the Monthly Blog Hop, I sincerely suggest you give it a try! You might just find some wonderful surprises!
