There's been a great deal of media attention given over the last few years to the seeming increase in bullying incidents between children and adolescents.  Tragically, several young people have taken their own lives following vicious bullying, primarily at school.

While listening to countless psychology and behavioral experts discuss the characteristics of bullies and their victims, I quickly realized that the same bullying behavior occurs between adults in the workplace, cyber, social, and other settings.  In regards to workplace bullying alone, the Workplace Bullying Institute reports that an estimated 53.5 million Americans, or 35% of the U.S. workforce, report being bullied at work.

While we rightfully give attention to the alarming level of bullying taking place among young people, it's also important to recognize the same behavior in adults, because it affects their victims and sadly, if the adult bully has children, it may cause them to imitate the same behavior.
