So for 2012 I am taking a huge leap of faith and traveling to Riviera Mexico for one of my best friends weddings with my husband. The reason I say this is a huge leap of Faith for me is because if you know me any I am scared to death to fly. I have flown once in my life and that was to disney world when i was a senior in high school. I swore I would never fly and now here I am shopping for clothes to go to the Riviera in March. Its going to come really fast and inside I am sooo excited to go but overcoming all the excitement is the fear of flying. I have talked myself through this many a time using every positive thought possible and still when I think about it my stomache gets upset. I am sure that all will be safe and I will be so glad that I did do it, but I cant seem to let go of the nervousness. 

Friends, I am a small town Jersey girl and I have been to maybe 4 states total and some of those states have been just traveled through to get to Tennessee. Its not that I dont want to travel, of course I do, I just never have! My husband has been around the world to places I have only dreamt of and since he has already done his traveling he seems to have no interest to do so anymore. So I am on my own to make this happen. I want my children to travel and have no fear in traveling so I know I need to be an example to them. 

I have been dragging my feet on making our final payment for the trip so the money is just sitting there in the bank account. I have until tomorrow to do it to make it official. I just cant believe it is really happening! 

Some things that make this really special. 

1. This Sept will mark DH and I's 10th anniversary! 

2. We never had an official out of state or country honeymoon like most married couples do, we chose to use our money on the wedding instead. So this will be our first official honeymoon 10 years later. Its quite special and I am super excited about it, I just wish I could drive there! ;)

Has anyone ever had a fear of flying? Tell me how you dealt with taking your first flight to ease your mind. Ps. I dont want to take any medication or get drunk! LOL I want to be able to conquer this on my own!
