We spent Sunday afternoon tackling the back garden. It was becoming increasingly obvious that if we didn’t get on to it soon it was going to look like the outside of Sleeping Beauty’s castle. You know, the wild, overgrown castle grounds after everyone had been asleep for a hundred years.
The people who owned our house before we did had a vision for their back yard. The garden was designed so that different areas would bloom at different times of the year. Vines were strategically planted to creep along the big ugly concrete wall that separates us from our neighbour as well as providing leafy shade over the deck. Like I said, they had a vision. Unfortunately, their vision did not include selling their house and precious garden to a family who don’t know a weed from an award winning creeper.
