Happy Friday! Looking forward to family movie night tonight and my 10K race on Sunday. The temperatures will be much better for this race then they were for my race in February. My February race it was 7 degrees outside but Sunday will be in the mid 20's to 30's. Not warm I know but I will take it. Have a great weekend and St Patrick's Day.

Workouts for the Week

Saturday

• It was supposed to be a 12 mile training run but it was nice and I got to go outside to run so it turned into 13.1 miles in 1 hour and 55 minutes. This time made my day, my goal is to run both half marathons I am doing this year in under 2 hours and I hit my mark, now to keep working.

Sunday

• 30 minutes Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 DVD
• 30 minutes Jillian Michaels 6 week six pack DVD

Tuesday

• I did a 6 mile training run in 54 minutes 30 seconds. I was supposed to do 8 miles but I had a substitute teaching job and knew I wouldn't want to run 8 miles after school but didn't want to get up too early before school, so it was 6 miles

Wednesday

• 30 minutes Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 DVD
• 30 minutes Jillian Michaels 6 week six pack DVD

Thursday

• I did a 7 mile training run in 65 minutes 20 seconds

Friday

• 30 minutes Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 DVD
• 30 minutes Jillian Michaels 6 week six pack DVD

Question of the Day:

They know exactly what I'm talking about

I am very fortunate to have a wonderful family and a great group of friends. I truly feel blessed! I do not have a sister, I have 2 older brothers. I was fine with that but did envy people who had a sister, someone that they were so close to and could talk about anything with because a sister, most of the time, gets you. I know that not all sisters have this relationship, regardless I envied my friends who had sisters.

I was fortunate in college to meet a girl in one of my classes and we became great friends, still are to this day. She is a friend who knows what I am talking about, she understands me and I her. She has been there with me through ups and downs and I with her. She on multiple occasions has dropped everything to be by my side to support me and for that I can never repay her. We live about an hour away from each other and are now busy with families. What I love is that no matter how busy we are and how long it has been since we've talked we pick up right where we left off. There are never hard feelings if the time has been long (and now thank goodness for texting because we can check in on the fly when we are busy with our families). She has been through so much with me and I appreciate her so much! She is the sister I never had.

I moved to where I live now about 4 years ago and have made many friends through my boys school and other activities I am involved in and I enjoy spending time with them. I was lucky enough to meet a mom who knows exactly what I am talking about. We have become great friends and even better our boys are friends, no wait best friends (my son corrects me if I dare say they are just merely friends, no mom...best friends!) She is a great friend and we seem to always be on the same page and when we are not there is no judgement. We have so much fun together and are there for each when needed. I appreciate her friendship and feel fortunate that we met each other.

I feel very lucky to have found not one but two amazing friends who always know exactly what I am talking about. I feel very blessed to have them both in my life.
