When Pragmatic Mom and I started our 12 Days of Shopping (it was going to be 5, maybe 6 days, but Pragmatic Mom is an over-achiever in a good, it makes me work harder than I normally would, kind of way), we shared ideas and brain
stormed (translation talked, drank hot, caffeinated beverages and laughed a lot) and she told me about pixie chicago for sweet notecards. I loved the cards and wrote about them here. Then, because the world works in weird ways (wow, that’s a lot of
alliteration and if you say that sentence like Elmer Fudd – there’s even
more…please, I don’t normally think in Fudd’s voice – it just occurred to me), I saw in my inbox an opportunity to write a product review for pixie chicago from Bloggy Moms (a social network for mom bloggers like Blog Frog and Shesconnected but that is another story). So I shot off an email and was on my way.
I was able to choose the pattern and colors, which was hardly a hardship. I started with blossom notecards and decided on h pool and lake. I like also really like the purple
(it’s called beet) and the pinks are fresh and pretty, too. You can also
have one or two initials on the cards so these are perfect for thank
you notes or for sending a sweet note to a friend. I love the weight of
the card and the envelope, and the colors are just beautiful. I used one
as a thank you note for a particularly toothsome holiday gift already.
Pixie Chicago has so many different styles to choose from – some are fun and funny (like LOL stationary) and some sweet and sophisticated. I wandered through the site and
liked, and wanted to order, almost everything. The baby announcements
and thank you notes packages are precious and I can’t believe it is so
easy to order birth announcements now. Back in the day, I tell you, this
required a trip to the special stationary store where you forced your spouse / lovingly held hands your eyes glazed over at the sheer number of books to look through. Now, point, click, order and done. Lovely.
Also there are really darling invitation packages and witty and fun notepads like this one for the dogwalker
– so cute. All in all, this is a favorite site for me. The designs are
fresh and unpretentious, the colors are beautiful and true, the paper
quality is excellent as is the customer service. When I placed my sample
order, I asked advice about the colors and received a nice note in
response. I received the cards faster than promised and wish I had about
100 more of them. There is the website pixiechicago.com, a blog and a store on etsy.
Don’t let me hear that you don’t send hand written note cards, either. No, email does not cut it for everything.
*This post was written on behalf of Pixie Chicago by Capability : Mom as contacted through BloggyMoms.com. No compensation was received
for this post. I received samples of Pixie Chicago note cards for review
purposes.
