How do you deal with uninvited guests?
My friend Lisa (of course I changed her name because...well I'm not stupid!) had a funny thing happen. She and her husband decided to invite a few couples over for dinner. It was not always easy getting out with friends anymore since they had young kids.
We wanted to have a few friends over for dinner," Lisa said, "because we wanted to enjoy their company while our kids played in a familiar environment." None of the couples they invited had kids at home. When her guests arrived one of the couples had brought a toddler relative. The friend said they were babysitting and they didn't think it was a problem to bring her. (Wait--there's more)

Honestly, I think her friend is pretty classless. Bringing a child without asking is rude. The last time someone showed up at my house without asking was my 90 year old grandpa at my college apartmetn (my boyfriend was visiting) it was not a comfortable visit but alas... now I am pretty sure the gaurd house at the bottom of my driveway is a huge deterant to most. As the raining queen of passive agressive I would have said it was fine while continuing to be annoyed until they left. You have to have class but you don't have to be polite about it!
