I accidentally bought a violin. Laugh all you like but it’s true. There I was sitting on my pc looking at an auction site at auctions that were just about to close and there it was .. a VIOLIN. Ooooh that’s cool I thought and before I knew it, I had clicked the “place your bid” button, the auction closed and then oooops, oh oh – looks like I just bought a violin. So that is how you accidentally buy a violin!
This in itself isn’t really a drama (it was relatively inexpensive) but now the big question is what on earth am I meant to do with it? Obviously I was meant to have it otherwise I wouldn’t have mistakenly clicked the bid button and surely if it wasn’t meant to be someone would have outbid me. It’s my logic and I’m going with it! Funnily enough I work with a girl (actually I’ve worked with her at 2 other places – but this is a story for another day) whose sister teaches the violin! So there you have it .. don’t argue with the universe it clearly wants me to play the violin (whether Gorgeous Jerry or the rest of family does is another thing entirely). Vanessa Mae step aside – here I come.
I have my first lesson on the 6th of June so I’ll report back on how it went and let you know if the teacher sees the same hidden talents that I do.
