Making My Own Calendar!
This time of year I am always on the hunt for a few items to help organize and make the following year run a little more smoothly.
Calendars and Day Planners are the top two items on that list! I need them to organize not only our family activities but also work schedules, church events and the weekly meal plan.
Other than the calendars and planners being created in a layout that makes sense to my brain and how I function - price is the biggest factor in helping to make my decision. The price of both is quite outrageous!
This year, I have come across a very handy and cost effective tool for my calendars! Yes, I said calendars as a plural! So much organizing and scheduling that happens here at the A Bloggy Mom house. This photo calendar maker allows me to create my own calendar in various forms and layouts - while using my own family photos to help theme them!
One calendar I have created is themed with our Gatlinburg vacation from last year. We love to look forward to our vacations and reminisce on trips from years past. This will be the calendar that hangs on our refrigerator this year!
With this program, not only are you able to create your own calendar and add your pictures - you control the color, text - everything! I didn't have to use their templates (though it was fantastic that they provided them!). I was able to use nearly every font that I have downloaded to my computer and change the size, weight and color.
With this tool you can create wall, desk, pocket, monthly, yearly and even completely customized calendars. My son and daughter also love to have calendars hanging in their room - they are enjoying creating their own that fits their personalities and interests. The kids have also become very interested in the phases of the moon. They were thrilled to add that to their calendars and begin keeping a better chart of when they could see each phase.
