I knew from the moment I took my first bite that you had my soul.  And I knew you wouldn’t be the only one.  I had bought 3 of you.  One for me and one for each of the girls.  (Greg was out of town and would get mad if I bought him one ‘cause he’s all athletic and stuff.)   So just 3.  As soon as a bit into your chocolatey peanut butter goodness, I knew that the girls wouldn’t be getting theirs.  They would all be mine.  There was no way that two more of you would last the afternoon, waiting for the girls to arrive home.  I would not be able to resist your candy-crack power.

I had recently been into Wawa (The best convenience store there is.  Period.) and they had no more of you.  I frantically searched the shelves and counters for a sign of you.  Just one. Please let there be just one.  Nothing.  Wawa I love you but this is bad.  Very bad.  If you can’t keep my candy crack stocked I may need to find another store to love.  Like Royal Farms.  (I’m fickle. Sorry.) 

     Pumpkin Perfection

They don’t even really look like a pumpkin inside.  But it doesn’t matter.  They are so off-the-hook good that I can forgive their fat misshapen pumpkin selves.  Just trust me when I say, one will never be enough.  They melt in your mouth and are gone before you even take a breath.

Of course there are other seasonal Reese’s like the Easter egg or Christmas tree.  And they are also my chocolate peanut butter drug.  I love them as much as I love the you, you peanut butter pumpkin.

What is NOT a replacement are these:

      Awesomeness does not equal the Pumpkin or the Egg

They are  yummy in their own right.  But they are not the same.  It’s not about the shape.  It must be about the peanut butter to chocolate ratio. There is way more peanut butter in that pumpkin, than in the cups.   Way more goodness I say.

Now that you know just how much I enjoy chocolate.......With Halloween quickly approaching, I encourage you to hide your Reese’s from me. Seriously save me from me.
