A Mom Blog Social Network

I saw probably the coolest thing this morning, it is relatively simple, but could REALLY help me especially if I posted it. On my morning tour of blogs, which simply me laying in bed for a few minutes reading all of my favorite blogs (I do this because watching the news is no fun), I stumbled across this jewel from Monica over at RunEatRepeat.com. She does a Sunday Setup where she lines out what her workouts and dinners are going to be for the whole week. Now as a busy Mom, this is genius.
You MAY be scratching your head, like, "no shit Sherlock" but for some reason the way she had it written out just clicked for me, like no other list, calendar plan, refrigerator sticky, or any other idea I have tried has, this one might just work for me and I can't wait to try it! I will actually do it today, to see if I can have a Monday Setup and the revise it to the weekend next week. You should absolutely check it out if you have trouble staying on track during the week.
As I mentioned, I will be posting birthday party pictures, it will likely be tomorrow, as my digital camera is not talking to my computer for some reason...I will have to mess with it more tonight.
Since yesterday was Lillie's actual birthday, we went out and did some just for us time. I took her down to the lake and we had a Mother-Daughter fishing trip. It lasted a little over an hour, the fish weren't biting so we headed home. (Of course we would normally fish with worms, but she was concerned about impaling them on the hook and "hurting" them...at first I was a little annoyed but really her heart makes me smile, and we set the worms free).
Here are some fun pics over the weekend that were taken with my phone:
|Lillie excited we grew carrots!|
|Katie kissing her Daddy thru the boat windshield|
Today we are heading out for a wonderful stroll before it gets to stinking hot (it was 90 yesterday). I am hoping to push myself hard enough to get a good calorie burn in and make up for some of the over-indulgences this weekend.
Dinner is already being prepared, I am making some Chicken Tacos(please excuse the recipe portion, I decided it was too important to leave out even if it doesn't match yet.) I got this recipe from my neighbor and we love Mexican flavors, so we are trying it. I will have mine in a tortilla with sliced avocado, and maybe a dollop of greek yogurt.
Tonight we have my daughters favorite activity...gymnastics! I am glad she enjoys this sport so much! I enjoy watching her!
What is on your to-do list today? Here is my setup for the week:
Monday: 2 mile walk, stationary bike
Tuesday: 1.5 mile jog
Thursday: 1.5 mile jog
Friday: yoga vs walk
Saturday: 1.5 mile jog
Monday: Chicken Tacos
Tuesday: Turkey burgers
I am not sure where the meals will go from there, I will have to wait until nap time to jump on pinterest and see what I am gonna eat!
Hope your Monday filled with love and laughter!
