I came so close to not posting today but then I decided that there are at least three or four of you who, while not having signed up for my spring cleaning hop, are at least keeping a tabs on what/how I am doing. And that means the world to me, really it does. And I don't want to let you down so here I am dragging my sorry excuse for an arse away from my book to blog about bathrooms and grout.

The past two days I tackled our bathrooms. Over all nothing hard about them, normal cleaning plus windows, blinds and shower curtains. There was one semi-back breaking thing to clean, well back breaking if you have a bad back like me.

Those nasty floors I showed you on Wednesday. I couldn't take them anymore! I came home from grocery shopping Wednesday night armed with two bleach gel pens ready to declare war on stained grout. Mike convinced me to wait until Thursday morning and we then headed to take advantage of my recent threat on the whoo-ha.

Refreshed and energized Thursday morning I prepared myself for battle by grabbing bleach pens, white rags and ushering Hayley out of her bathroom with a stern warning to not breach the doorway under any circumstances. This was shaping up to be a battle of epic proportions my friends.

I am happy to say I won that day. It was a small victory, for the two pens were only good for Hayley's bathroom but I shall when the war as soon as my ammunition is restocked!

I am amazed at the difference after just one treatment with the bleach pen. I can actually walk across the floor now without cringing every time my bare feet touch those tiles.

As for this weekend and spring cleaning I plan on taking a much needed break. All this scrubbing of doors, windows, baseboards and such has worn me out.  I may try to tackle some book shelves, beings they all look about like this one.

Cluttered, dusty and just a down right mess. I have a total of four tall boys, as I call them, and they are all in need of some TLC.

Other than that though I don't plan on cleaning a darn thing this weekend. Mike has a three day weekend ahead and I plan on spending every last waking minute of it taking full advantage of him. Um I mean of him being home.

Wait that still doesn't sound right.

What I mean to say is Mike is going to be working on the Envoy which means Hayley will be at mawmaws playing with Seleena leaving me time to myself and the stack of books I need to catch up on.

I will be back with week two of Spring Cleaning on Tuesday though!
