I love baking. Which you can probably tell by all of my Instagram/Twitter/Facebookphotos and all of my recent recipe posts. But one thing that I really love baking is sweet breads. They’re tasty and satisfy a little sweet tooth – and way simpler to make than a batch of cookies. So when I’m feeling a little lazy – or just don’t have a lot of time – and want something homemade, baking a batch of sweet breads is totally where it’s at. Bonus: wrapping a loaf of sweet bread with some pretty ribbon is theperfect holiday gift for your neighbors or your postman. They’ll totally appreciate the thought!
Banana bread is one of my all time favorites. I don’t like chunks of banana in my bread, but I do love a kind of grainy, cornbread type texture to it. I think I ate three loaves of this stuff almost completely by myself since Thanksgiving. I wish I were kidding – my jeans would be fitting a little less snug right now! This recipe is a crowd pleaser…so if you’re planning on having a bunch of people over to your house after making this, I recommend doubling the batch…which is exactly how I wound up withthree loaves of banana bread in the first place!..Continue reading at The Mommyhood Project
