Easter is coming. I love Easter. The pastel colors mainly. And spring.

I have fond memories of Easter as a kid, hunting for our Easter basket, finding plastic eggs in the yard, getting dressed up for Easter brunch after attending mass. I loved my spring dresses and when I had the boys, it was the pinstripe collars and v-neck sweater vests I bought for them. Oh, they were so handsome.

Moving on...

It's time for me and my family now to create our own Easter memories. This Easter marks number two away from our extended family, which all mainly reside in Wisconsin somewhere. Flying solo on the dinner this year but it's ok. We really don't have a need or want to go out for Easter. We like to celebrate intimately.

So, I'll dust off those fancy clothes I have for my little one and take  a few hundred photos of him since this will be the last year those fancy duds will fit him. I just doubt I'll have a need to buy more fancy duds for a while for the little guy.

I'm planning on baking a delicious spiral cut ham with the fixin's for my family and I'd like to get to church but feel bad because I don't have a church here yet and I don't really want to "crash" on a holiday. Damn Catholic guilt.
