Yes, I was in the magical city, the capital of Greece - Athens!! Though I was on a work trip, I found some tome to visit this incredible city!! As children we had read about a lot about this city in books. I immediately grabbed the chance of coming to this city.

Then began the hunt for inexpensive flight tickets, even though it was an all expense paid trip, but why not get the best deal one can get. It was a long search over the internet to find all flights to Athens, which were quite affordable. There are a lot of cheap flights to Athens that makes it possible for budget travelers to visit this city. Several airlines operate flights to the capital city from various destinations like Air France, British Airways. Since I got a fairly cheap ticket to Athens as compared to other airlines, I decided to book tickets on it. If you do enough research, then you are sure to find cheap airline tickets. It was a long flight to the city of Athens, but once reaching it, one is floored by its sheer beauty and architectural splendor. The city has beautiful Greek temples that reflect a high level workmanship. Most of my days were spent eating delicious Grecian food it’s so rich in flavors and taste, and I have not had such amazing food ever in my life time.

The city offers a lot of places that are simply awesome. Some of these attractions were the Brettos which is a landmark famous for wine, rather old fashioned in appearance. Then there is the Athens art gallery, which houses beautiful paintings made over centuries. There is the temple of Zeus which is one of the largest temples there, and it took seven hundred years to build it. I also visited the statue of Athena, the tower of winds. These are just a few places to name, I used to have the entire day at my leisure, free to walk around and discover the lands of Greeks. I switched off my cell phones so there was nothing to break my tranquility. I also made a lot of friends on this trip since I interacted with so many people. Each one taught me a little more about the place.

Everything in this city seems to be surrounded by mysterious magic around it. One falls in love with this place as soon as he set foot here and I was no exception to this. The city too has started seeing an increase in tourism with such unbelievable deals on cheap flights  on several leading carriers like British Airways. The city is so beautiful that I have already decided to visit it again.
