A Mom Blog Social Network
As you can see I didn't make it back on the computer the other night. Remember about 5 to 6 months ago when I told everyone about how we had lost our house? Well in the mean time we were staying at my mom's. Not the easiest having two different households living under the same roof, but we managed the best we could. Now I am more than pleased to say that a townhouse is ours. We moved in this last weekend. Joe, Joey and I set out and got most of the stuff out of storage. ( I say most because the largest truck that they had was still not large enough!) Last Saturday our wonderful pastor came over to help get everything into the place and some of the stuff that was at my mom's. He is, in a word, a "workhorse". The man has the strength and endurance of three. My family and I are sooo grateful.
While we were getting things ready for the move, I had a church "Thankmas" party to get ready for. It is the Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner we had. My daughter and I got the decor for the church Christmas tree. I had made calls to all the church members to see if they would be able to attend and what, if anything, that they would like to bring. I also got the decor for our Ladies at the Cross meeting/party. My daughter and I decorated the tree, shopped for the pasta salad we were bringing and decorated the fellowship room for the meeting. We had such a great time. If you're interested you can stop by the site I have for the ladies at www.ladiesatthecrossgracepointe.blogspot.com
I also have been starting a cancer ministry at our church on top of the prison ministry I attend once a month. Getting the cancer ministry started took some time with a couple of meetings and getting all the information I could to present it to the ladies. With all of this, I still found time to go with my husband for his Dr.'s appointment with the neurologist, plus getting my middle son Wil a good doctor here for his potential MS. My daughter has now had two concerts with her choir and Wil has had one playing his saxophone. Yes, I made it to all of them and have pictures and videos to prove it. The church also has another member that has MS. He is at a stage where it is difficult to clean and pick up. So I and a lady from church went over and spent three hours cleaning his house. Had we known the time needed before, we would have been there sooner. So when I mention in my last post that my body was aching, that was an understatement.
The really cool thing about all of this is God. He has been with me every step, every breath that I have had to do in the last couple of months. I am humbled and grateful for his strength, love, mercy and grace he gives to me so freely. For I know that without Him I could not have done any of this. I have had to sacrifice my computer time for his service. I do that gladly. I have been able to keep up with some of you through my phone. However, there are times that I can not leave comments, or like on facebook. That errk's me. It's a blackberry so I expect it to do everything. I have to remember it is not a computer. Just a phone. Ha Ha! So the turn in my life has been busy to say the least and it doesn't look like it will be letting up any time soon. And for that I say thank you.
