Christmas night, and the kiddo's are in bed. The day is almost over. So what's next?
Making any resolutions?
Aside from the usual pound dropping, body toning wishes I actually do have things I wish to accomplish this year. New ideas I'd like to introduce into my blog. Goals to reach. (bloggy goals that is)
First lets start with the segment I'll be starting in February. Roses & Thorns Thursday.
Roses & Thorns (A Handbook for Marine Corps Enlisted Wives) is a book written by The Marine Corps, and it is exactly what it says, a handbook for Enlisted Wives. It explains some of the traditions and meanings in the Corps, and why things are done the way that are done. It puts into light certain protocol, etiquette, and expected behavior for different types of events. In short, it's a great reference tool for any new Marine Corps wife, as well as us wives who've been 'attached' for a while now. Unfortunately, though, very few of the wives that I've met know about this book. So, it's my goal to feature a piece of this book every Thursday until we've covered everything in this book a wife to an Enlisted Marine should know.
The next new segment I'd like to add is a monthly feature on Amazing Momma's.
For over a year now I've been much more serious about my blogging, and with that I've been trying to reach out more in the blogging world and connect with other bloggers. In doing this I have really met some amazing women, and would like to give recognition. See, last year my New Year's resolution was about getting rid of the negativity in my life:Cleaning Out My Inner Closet
This year my twist on that is to find Amazing Momma's, highlight them and the positive things that make them stand out to me, and share their story with my readers. I believe in the power of spreading positivity. (and if you know an Amazing Momma who's blog has made a positive impact on your life and feel she should be highlighted, please contact me
Lastly, I hope to introduce to you a new food creation/idea that I've been brainstorming. It's nothing extremely new, and not going to sweep the nation as some super amazing fad, but I think it can be fun, healthy and easy to do. All the elements, right? Well, we'll see. With new baby twins this year I haven't had as much time to work on it as I had hoped, but now my schedule is starting to become more routine and think I can get back into working on this.
So there it is. My 2011 Semper Fi Momma blogging goals. I hope you continue to follow and be apart of my Always Faithful adventures and journeys. You have been great supporters in 2010 and I've loved hearing from each and every one of you. I appreciate you all very much.
May you and the ones you hold dear have a safe, healthy, happy, and prosperous New Year!
(year of the Rabbit, right?)
