Is it me or are we all just a little nuts to do this? 

Blogging. 

I mean who do we think we are? 

I have struggled with this question on and off for most of my life, but never more so than since I have started blogging. 

The raw emotional content of some of my posts leave me breathless and exhausted, and then others just leave me bored. 

Who wants to know how I make my own bullion ice cubes, or what I think about a popular rap song? 

The bottom line is that I have to write. I don't do it for the affiliate money (Lord knows I have not made a penny yet!) and I do not do it for the traffic (that is slower than molasses). I have to write because a blank page challenges me. I have to write because I was designed to create. I have to write because if I don't no one will know the gifts I have to share. 

We all want to be heard. We all want to be seen. Not for our fifteen minutes of fame, but because we all need validation. 

So when I hear that question, "Who do you think you are?" in my head, I will say: I am a writer!
