For fast and reliable traffic for your business, a blog can be your best tool.  A blog is one of the easiest ways to establish an online presence and to begin branding yourself.  Whether your blog is your business (i.e., giveaways, reviews, etc.) or just an online brochure, here are five reasons why every mompreneur should blog, and blog regularly:

#1 – Blogs can help build relationships

Where static websites provide information, blogs encourage interaction and engagement.  A well-crafted blog with good content invites comments and facilitates conversation between the mompreneur and her current and potential clients.  Blogs allow readers to ask questions, share insights, and even submit complaints (a good thing, really!) giving the mompreneur the opportunity to “wow” her customer with a mutually beneficial solution to their concern.

#2 – Blogs create a buzz

When small businesses post good content on their blog, they are creating a buzz – something for their readers to talk about.  The more frequently businesses share valuable information via blog posts, the more they stay in their customers’ view.

#3 – Blogs can help businesses pull rank

#4 – Blogging can be easy

Can you write an email?  Then you can post to a blog.  If you’re savvy enough to attach a photo to an email, then you can add a photo to your blog post as well.  It really can be simple to do with very minimal training.  If you know your audience well (and you should if you zeroed in on your target market), then you will know what to write that will meet their needs or fulfill their wants.

#5 – Blogs can be outsourced

If you’re thinking, ‘But I really don’t know what to write on my blog,’ then don’t fear.  Though blogging can be easy for some, others truly dislike writing.  However, this should not be an excuse to avoid creating a blog.  The task of creating blog content can be delegated to an assistant (if you have one) or outsourced to a freelance writer.

By creating a blog and blogging regularly, mompreneurs can generate more traffic for their business and position themselves as an expert in their market.
