It's that time of year again, now that the stockings have been taken down, you can take full advantage of decluttering and organizing your home for a fresh start.

Kitchen:  Whether your refrigerator needs a good cleaning or your drawers needs to be reorganized, now is the time to do it.  Let's face it there are some chores that get pushed aside.

As you're cleaning, make a list of things that need to be restocked.  Make sure you leave room for it when you're reorganizing.

Kitchen  To Do List:

Clean out your pots and pans.  Found a great tip on the internet, remove stains with a soft cloth and white vinegar, than dry with clean cloth. Never soak stainless steel pots and pans, because the surfaces will become marked.

Give your sink a good scrubbing.  Scrub the inside of your sink with baking soda and give it a good wipe.

Cupboards & Drawers.  Empty out your cupboards and drawers, sweep out crumbs and dust and clean any stains with a wet cloth.  Perfect time to pitch or donate things you do not use.

Organize Pantry if you have one. Throw out anything that's expired, including canned goods and spices.  Anything that's been there longer than a year may have gone bad.

Clean Refrigerator  and Freezer. Do a deep clean by removing shelves if they are removable.

Declutter Front Of Refrigerator.

Microwave.  Fill a microwave safe bowl with water and microwave it on high for a few minutes.  Keep the doors closed for a couple more minutes to let steam work. Than wipe everything down.

Wash Windows inside and out weather permitting.

Deep Clean Floors. Sweep under the oven and refrigerator

.

Dust and wipe down walls, baseboards  and top of refrigerator.

Wash the insides of your garbage cans. Try using a vinegar and water solution. Rinse them out and let them dry outside.

Clean drains and garbage disposals. Run a lemon or a cup of vinegar through your garbage disposal to get rid of any smells.

Clean your oven. Make a paste of baking soda and water and slather it on the parts of your oven than scrape the gunk off the next morning. If you have self clean BONUS!

Run dishwasher while it's empty.  Add a little white vinegar to it to get rid of odors.
