Disneyland Parks are filled with photogenic backgrounds all around. The parks are colorful and beautiful. If you are on social media I am sure you have seen some of these fun photo backdrops. You can find some of these fun Disney Photo Wall Pictures by searching these hashtags #DisneyWalls, #WallsOfDisney, #DisneyPhotoWalls or #WallsOfDisneyland. I love taking pictures so of course, I made time in our visit to the parks to find these fun Disney photo walls. In my opinion, pictures are one of the best souvenirs you can leave the parks with, Disney magic that lasts forever.

You can see all the pictures on the original blog post here: http://theblogaboutitall.blogspot.com/2018/09/disney-photo-fun.html

Minnie Wall Backdrop – You can find this photo spot at Disneyland in Toon Town near Mickey and Minnie house. I love Minnie Mouse, but the line to have your picture taken with her was a 50-minute wait. I have four boys who were not interested in waiting that long for a photo with Minnie Mouse, so while my older boys rode the Gadget’s Go Coaster, my little one and I took our picture at the Minnie Wall.

We did wait for a picture with Mickey Mouse who is celebrating his 90th birthday this November. The wait was only 20 minutes at Toon Town. One of the nice things about waiting for a picture with Mickey is you walk through his fun house, being indoors gets you out of the sun and as you get closer, you are in an air-conditioned room with a movie screen showing old-time Disney Mickey Mouse movie shorts, which helps pass the time quickly.

Buzz Light Year Wall & Up Balloon Wall – I think there are more Disney Photo Walls at California Adventure. You can find this ‘Up’ Balloon wall and Buzz Lightyear wall near the Monster’s Inc. Ride. These backdrops are super colorful and fun for photo memories. There was not a Disney Photopass photographer at the wall locations, my handsome hubby was our photographer. There was a self-made short line, but people were pretty quick at snapping a photo and moving on.

There are a ton of themed posters along Pixar Pier like this Disney Pixar Coco Themed backdrop. Coco is one of our favorite movies as you can see from our t-shirts.

“We may have our differences, but nothing’s more important than family.” –Miguel from Disney Pixar’s Coco

You’ll find the classic ‘Welcome to Cars Land’ sign at the Cars Land entrance.

Near the Silly Symphony Swings ride, you will find a fun Pixar Pier Photo backdrop.

Some other photo spots I recommend are near the waterfall at Grizzly River Ride, a photo with the Pixar Pal-A-Round Mickey Wheel and Incredicoaster in the background. Be sure and snap a photo in Cars Land where you watch the cars race, those rocks in the background are beautiful.

While at Disneyland a picture with the Castle is a must but be prepared to wait if you want a PhotoPass Photographer to capture your picture, a fellow Disneyland visitor snapped the first castle picture of us below and then my husband snapped the other evening castle picture. We tried to check the line throughout the day, it was so long all day.

While we were waiting for the Pixar Parade to start I asked a Disney cast member holding balloons if I could hold the balloons for a picture and he happily helped me accomplish this fun photo.

If you are a Disney Visa Credit Cardholder there are specific photo opportunities for you with usually no wait. You will need to show your Disney Visa card and valid ID to the Disney cast member. On this trip, we were able to get a picture with Stitch at California Adventure near the Monster’s Inc. ride and a photo with Rey and Darth Vader from Star Wars at Star Wars Launch Bay in Disneyland. We had no one in line, at these special locations. You can always ask if you need help finding it. One of the nice things about these photo opportunities is many times the Disney photographer will capture your children’s reaction to meeting the character, those photos are priceless. Be sure to have the photographer scan your PhotoPass QR code in your Disneyland App or have them give you a PhotoPass card you can link to your App later.

As you enter Disneyland taking pictures with the Ride Posters are a great DIY photo opportunity as well.

If you have not visited the Disneyland Parks recently you might be surprised to see the lines for character meet and greets. A tip, if you are traveling with little ones, is to prepare them ahead of time for the wait and that their favorite character may be switched out for another character while you are in line.

I found on our most recent visit the characters at California Adventure took much more time with each guest. It was more of an experience rather than just a photo opportunity. For our photo with Captain America, he asked each of my boys which superhero power they would choose, he asked them who was their favorite superhero and he suggested each of our poses for an “Avengers Assemble” themed photo. I love how he took his time with each guest and made you feel so special.

If you are in the parks during Halloween time, be sure to snap a photo with the famous Mickey Pumpkin! Again the line for a PhotoPass photographer on the front side of the pumpkin was super long, we snapped our own picture on the other side.

I hope you find this post helpful for your next Disneyland visit, and I hope you’ll bring home some of that Disney magic in photo memories that will last forever.
