The bohemian trend is all the rage right now and you cannot open a single social media platform without being exposed to the glory of its whimsy.

Leather and lace have always been a combo favorite of mine but since I felt dressing my 18month old in lace is a tad mature, I paired her newly DIY’d faux-leather fringe booties with this over-sized, extra-length jumper instead.

I had originally cut flowly fabric to pair these booties with but when Sunday came along the glorious Cape Town weather had completely forsaken me and I decided to sew this simple cream colored long sleeve instead.

Comfort is key and I think I managed to pull it off quite well. I always find that if Mila wants to sleep with her new item on that I’ve done a good job and making something she really likes. The gasps of air followed by “pretty!” is also an indication.

Thanks so much for checking out this DIY and be sure to subscribe to not miss out on any fashion, beauty and lifestyle posts.
