Meet Rebecca Johnston of Devour Dinner – our Featured Influencer this week!

Tell Us Your Blogging Story

Devour DinnerAs a nontraditional student I went back to school in my 40’s and earned a degree in Communication, with a focus in Visual Media. That is where it all began. Devour Dinner is a collective portfolio of all my skills from Photography, Design, WordPress, Video, etc. I was recognized by the Master Professions of Adobe Photoshop with a coveted Guru Award for my photo editing skills and you could say, I was hooked! I wanted to learn more and add to my skill set. Devour Dinner was created to showcase all that I could do professionally along with everything I was doing in the kitchen.

I truly love to entertain and I believe that memories are built around a table that will last a lifetime.

Why I Blog

Blogging is out of the box for me, it’s innovative, creative, versatile, and challenging. I’m always up for a good game and blogging brings that challenge to me. I love to interact with people and touch their lives in some way. Blogging allows me to use my creative skills, to reach others and help them build memories. Blogging allows me to use my skill set to grow and improve, and most importantly, Blogging pushes me to do more.

Tell Us About Yourself

I love the social aspect that surrounds food and I’ve always found the best memories are made in these moments. My focus behind my blog are my boys. I am completely out numbered and I love it! I wanted them to someday leave home and be able to create the meals that brought the most memories to them. And that is where Devour Dinner was created. A recipe eBook for them to take with them when they left home for college. It has grown into so much more as my kitchen bar has always been open for anyone who wants to come and sit. Memories truly are made in the kitchen.
