Being a stay-at-home mum is an interesting way to live, but many such mums find that after a while, it might get a bit boring. You find yourself done with your everyday tasks, your kid is fed and is doing its own thing, and all you’re left with a little spare time you can use to earn some cash.

With that in mind, what could you work in your spare time to make a bit of extra income, while you’re at home, looking after your kid, with plenty of freedom to just take a break whenever you need one?

If this piques your interest, there are a lot of things you could be doing, whether you want to relax a bit and work on cam sites where you can absolutely make a killing, or start your own business that can turn into a passive income after a while. And here are four ideas you should absolutely consider.

Work as an Online Tutor

This is one of those jobs that’s more in demand than ever, thanks to the fact that pretty much every aspect of learning is done online nowadays. You have a lot of students who aren’t that confident about certain subjects and would like some extra tutoring. And if you’re knowledgeable about a subject or two, you can absolutely turn that into an income.

All it takes is for you to establish yourself as a reliable tutor that knows what they’re doing and get some glowing reviews. This will kickstart everything for you, especially if the people you’re tutoring start talking about you to their friends. Of course, you do need to be rather knowledgeable about the things you’re teaching, and you’ll need to be patient with your students.

What’s interesting is that working as an online tutor can turn into a profitable side business if you consider something like creating an online course, for example. You can turn the things you’re teaching into a well-thought-out course, and sell that as a complete solution online. Once you’ve got things nailed down, it’s all about enjoying the income.

Start a Dropshipping Business

Even though some might say dropshipping is dead, it actually isn’t – the concept of dropshipping is made in a way that it can always be used as a source of income. Of course, how much of an income you’re making does depend on a lot of factors, but it’s a fact that dropshipping is still viable, and will remain viable in the years that follow.

The trick about dropshipping is to be careful when you’re setting things up. You should first find a niche that’s in demand, but you aren’t seeing too many stores covering it. Then, it’s a matter of offering something that your competition isn’t offering, whether that’s a specific product, or a service not found elsewhere. You want to make sure people buy from you, and not someone else. And last but not least, you should be keeping your customers satisfied and you should make sure they aren’t complaining. If they are, address their complaints and make sure they don’t repeat.

Now, dropshipping isn’t something that will be extremely beneficial from the get-go. But if you work hard at it, and are careful with how you’re doing things, it can be a pretty hands-off way of making extra money.
