My name is Pamela Baker and I blog at The Birch Cottage where I share family favorite recipes, easy DIY projects, crochet and sewing tutorials and patterns, as well as tons of free printables.
As a mom to 7 adult children, I found myself spending a lot of time on the phone sharing the same information over and over. The conversations went like this, “Hey, mom, how do you make your white chicken chili?” Or “Hey, mom, remember that scarf your crocheted for me when I was 7, how do I make that?”
Then I thought that if our children were interested in these things, maybe other people would be, too! So, The Birch Cottage blog was born.
I love sharing tutorials, patterns, recipes and printables and hope they help to make a difference in the lives of my readers and children!
Although I work full-time as an accounting clerk in a local high school, I still find time to cook homemade dinners, crochet, sew, embroider and garden. When I’m not working or crafting, you’ll find me walking our two German Shepherd Dogs, tending to our salsa garden, watching movies or traveling with my husband and simply making memories with my family.
