Meet Brittany Boyce of Dreams and Coffee – our Featured Influencer this week!

Tell Us Your Blogging Story

dreams and coffee brittany boyceI actually started blogging in 2009 (on a different blog), back when some of today’s biggest bloggers were just starting out. It’s been so neat to watch their journey! I took a few years off from blogging after having my first daughter – and then my second – but I missed it so much that I decided to jump back in a few years ago. While I spend most of my days raising three little girls, I don’t actually consider myself just a ‘mom blogger’ per se – I also write about style, healthy living, food and home décor.

Why I Blog

Blogging is definitely a creative outlet for me – something that allows me to take off my mom hat from time to time! It has also allowed me to maintain my professional life (in addition to freelance writing), and it makes me feel like myself. I worked very hard professionally, so it was hard to get into the swing of things as a stay at home mom and I needed to keep that outlet open in order to feel like myself. I love that I’ve been able to build my blog up from a hobby into a true business, all while having creative control over the process and over my schedule!

Tell Us About Yourself

I am a wife and mama to three little girls (ages, 5, 3 and 3 months). Almost 4 years ago, I chose to leave the corporate world to stay at home with my oldest daughter when we moved 13 hours away from family. A former marketing pro, I transitioned to a freelance writer/marketer in a very part-time capacity so I can spend my days with my daughters. In my ‘spare time,’ I enjoy cooking and baking and balancing it all out with a good workout, especially Pure Barre.
